The Design-Build Process I prefer design-build projects. They involve three specialized professionals working together. This team assesses feasibility, aesthetics, and costs before starting demolition on a remodel or breaking ground on new construction. The architect or architectural draftsperson develops a floor plan for the home. This plan establishes the foundation necessary for both structural and aesthetic enhancements. Integrating Design Elements Building on the floor plan, an interior designer integrates cabinetry, plumbing, electrical components, and furniture into the design. This process ensures that every aspect of the home complements the overall vision. A 3D rendering is then produced. This visualization highlights the selected materials and design elements, allowing clients to see the final appearance of the space. - Should A TV be over the fireplace? Emily Henderson says yes!
Renowned stylist and designer Emily Henderson believes that TVs above fireplaces are a good idea. I generally concur, but this particular family convinced me to exclude a TV from the living room in their custom home. As a family of four, they desired a space dedicated to conversation and games, free from the distraction of a screen. The result, it is wise to leave negative space for a positive influence. The homeowners opted to have their living room be TV free. Instead a stunning coffee table with hidden storage takes center stage. Games, cards, books can be stashed inside. Conversation is encouraged, reading is promoted, relationship to each other, and the outdoors, is the primary goal, rather than screen time. MM Conversation Reading Games For This Living Room
- Boise Kitchen Remodel Before & After
Check out this remodel transformation! The 90's oak cabinets have been revamped into a modern, full-height, open-concept design featuring a high-gloss white finish. If you prefer not to have high gloss cabinets, there are alternatives in matte finishes for a softer, less reflective acrylic look. Paint is an excellent option, or you might choose white faux wood for a more organic feel. Dated to Modern Kitchen Remodel Boise Idaho This kitchen design features high gloss cabinets with numerous benefits: they are reflective, easy to clean, and give your kitchen a bright, contemporary appearance. If your budget allows, select acrylic gloss cabinets, renowned for their durability. For maintenance, use a microfiber cloth and a gentle cleaning solution. Pair white high gloss cabinets with natural quartzite countertops, matte porcelain tile floors, and warm-colored walls to create an organic balance with this luxurious style. For this high-end kitchen remodel, I selected a Thermador appliance package. The large range is ideal for a chef who appreciates having both griddle and burner options. The wall that originally separated the dining room from the kitchen was taken down and substituted with a wet bar. This change enables natural light from the dining room to brighten the kitchen. The emphasis of this Boise kitchen remodel was on maximizing natural light and views. MM
- Sun Valley Idaho Condo Remodel

The natural wood, crafted into functional art, offers a delightful tactile and visual experience. Complement the table with contemporary dining chairs for a sophisticated look. For a mountain-inspired ambiance, consider adding an antler chandelier. Taking down an original wall in the entryway provided access to the kitchen. - What are 3D Interior Design Digital Renderings?
A digital 3D interior design rendering is a photorealistic/or collage image of what your space is going to look like. It is created from an architectural floor plan indicating the location of windows, walls, and ceiling height. The floor plan generates a 3D model of windows, walls and ceiling heights. This 3D model is then composed with the finishes and furnishings selected for the space. I use a basic floor plan software with 3D and HD image capacity to create my models. I use Photoshop to apply the selected finishes and furnishings to the model. This allows my clients to visualize their space prior to construction or remodel.
