Boise Fall Parade Home 2025: Design Build At Its Best

This upscale warm organic modern home for the Boise Fall parade was a great opportunity for me to utilize new materials, and unique interior design solutions.

I prefer design-build projects, which involve three specialized professionals collaborating as a team to assess feasibility, aesthetics, and costs before starting demolition on a remodel or breaking ground on new construction. The architect or architectural draftsperson develops a floor plan for the home, establishing the foundation necessary for structural and aesthetic enhancements.

Building on the floor plan, an interior designer integrates cabinetry, plumbing, electrical components, and furniture into the design. A 3D rendering is subsequently produced to visualize the space's final appearance, highlighting the selected materials and design elements.

Based on the construction documentation, the builder creates a budget and timeline for both design and materials. The best method involves a team made up of a contractor, an interior designer, and an architect or architectural draftsperson collaborating. True design-build projects utilize the skills of all three experts to develop construction documents that realize the final design. Collaboration is essential! I am grateful for the Idaho design-build teams I have had the pleasure of working with.
